Catios provide many benefits for cats and their owners. They keep cats safe while allowing them to soak up some sun. Catios prevent cats from roaming the streets reducing the risk of disease, fights, foxes, or being injured or killed by a vehicle.

Studies have shown that roaming cats can be a threat to local species and a Catio is a great way to reduce the impact on wildlife.

As long as a Catio is an adequate size for the number of cats being contained, and cats have access to larger areas or indoors via a cat door or tunnel, cats can definitely benefit from the time they spend inside a Catio.
